In 1963, nine couples began meeting in the South Hills of Pittsburgh for a time of Bible study and prayer. In time the Lord led these couple to begin a new church that was focused on study of God’s Word and reaching out to the local community. Click here for a more complete history of the Bible Chapel.
The Bible Chapel has always been a community church. For our first 45 years, our primary ministry was to the communities of the South Hills of Pittsburgh, In 2009 our vision to make an impact in the communities of the Greater Pittsburgh area took on focus with the launch of our Robinson campus. By faith, we held our first worship service in Robinson on November 8, 2009 with a core team of 75 people and 60 day lease in Showcase Cinema West. In April 2010, God was faithful to provide us with our current location at Pittsburgh Technnical Institute (PTI).
We are a multi-site church. We are one church that resides in many locations. Like an extended family, we share the same vision and values, while maintaining the unique personality of our local communities.
